What is involved in installing a car stereo

Yesterday I had Worst Buy install a Kenwood car stereo and it turns out that it doesn't have the features they told me it did.

They had to do quite a bit of work to wire it.

The Kenwood MP225 that I bought and had installed has a detachable face.

What will I have to do if I want to replace that deck myself with something else?

I won't have to rewire like they did...they ran new wire to the speakers (they bypassed my blown amp).

Thanks.

Really depends on the car. It usually is not too difficult as long as you have the right wiring harnesses.

Why should you do the work that they should have? Tell them to replace it with the deck that has the features you want, right the F now. 😛

I have to agree with M4H here. They lied to you on the sale. Make them remove it and install a new one gratis.

Yeah I would like to do that but these guys would NEVER admit that they lied to me. Matter of fact, earlier today I called the same Best Buy and asked they had a Kenwood that had certain features and they mentioned the model I bought. So maybe they don't know that they're giving false information.

After it was installed yesterday I showed them that the detachable face was scratched...of course that wasn't their fault either. :disgust:

So these guys already know I'm ticked off so I wouldn't want them working anymore on my car--kinda like how you shouldn't send food back to the chef ('cause if he's mad too he could take a leak in it).

DO IT!

He's right..

Id be pissed if I were you!

Also, if its your fault, its not hard. 10 mins of work should do it. If you already have the clip in and everything, could take less!
