There is a job I am trying to apply for and it requires that I have basic knowledge about inventory analysis. What is inventory analysis? From what I read and already know, it is about managing inventory, maintaining a minumum amount of inventory, etc.

Where can I find more information? I already searched Google. All I get are companies selling software about it. The job is entry level, so expertise is not required.

That's pretty vague. What industry is it? A fast food franchise will have a much different way of analizing inventory than a company that sells farming equipment.

Large computer firm. Here is the job

Works in a function that provides inventory control support for the organization. Responsibilities largely include analyzing, interpreting and making recommendations to support this function. Analysis may include supply vs. demand, space, and other analysis incorporating a longer-term perspective.
