What's going on at K-Rock 92.3 in New York?
I was listening to the radio about a day ago at night and i heard Several people like Julie Slater are getting fired and this stuff about becoming only Talk Radio?

Howard is leaving. They're chaning their whole format, for New York and the area, as well as stations throughout the us.

some of us don't have an ipod or if you do you still need an adapter for the radio.

i was wondering why they just kept talking and talking on k-rock. when they start chatting up a storm, i tune in to JackFM or 95.5 PLJ. but uh... what is this format? what station will take the primary rock station's place?

Jack FM > *

On the local syndication the other night, they played Sting, Elton John, Genesis, Crash Test Dummies, and Charlie Daniels Band back to back.

95.5 PLJ is great, but they don't play Rock... Jack FM sucks! they should have kept the old format.

Krock is still playing music but yes lots of talk going on.
I don't what station can replace K-ROCK.
I primary listen to
95.5 PLJ, Scott and Tod/Green day music sometimes, but no Korn etc.
94.3 Long island, same style music as PLJ, no green day, korn etc.
101.1 Jack FM/formaly WCBS, very sporatic good music

I don't listen to
100.3 Z100 anymore, all they play is teen music and rap style music.

104.3, obviously. You're probably too far south to get 101.5, that's in Poughkeepsie... but I dunno, maybe. It'd be a shame if you couldn't get both :(

I just bought my Sirius Starmate Replay last night. Now I just need to install it. Infinity and the "Jack" format can suck my left nut.

This really is pathetic. I literally can't imagine a more flattering or helpful thing that they could have done to promote satellite radio. It's as though they're conceding that they can't compete on the strength of their programming, so the sole benefit they offer is that they're free. Morons.

I like Adam Carolla, but I am still scratching my head at the hiring of David Lee Roth (who is supposedly getting $4M a year!). That guy is death, and the show will be unlistenable.

i listen to 104.3 too, but it's all classic rock. i'm looking for a replacement for oldschool and modern rock.

94.3 and 102.3 are new to me. but my guess is that they are not a replacement for k-rock given that nobody else has mentioned them.
