Okay, the most annoying thing has happened, I took out my external HDD from my laptop and put it back in like ive done a million times before but this time it changed the drive letter on re-entry from I:/ to J:/ which has fooked up my itunes library of over 40, 000 songs.

So i thought, fine, ill just change it back via

control panel > administrative tools > computer management > disc management > rename /re-letter.

only the letter I:/ is taken up by these random drives that dont exist on my computer, which i cant remove for some reason.

I have the following...

a DVDRW drive F:/

an internal HDD drive partitioned to C:/ and D:/

an external drive which was I:/ now is J:/

another external drive partitioned into K:/ and L:/ which were J:/ and K:/ but doesnt bother me

look at this image...where the hell have these 3 random CD drives come from?! and how come i cant see the drive i need to remove (I:/) in disk management...

CAN ANYONE HELP?!

er, uh, maybe someone installed daemon tools or alcohol 120% on your computer?
kind of shooting in the dark

Unplug your DVDRW drive and reboot, then see how many of those remain.
