I am planning to purchase this because I feel it is good enough for gamming and has the video editing that I like. I am going to use this on a 1.2GHz Athlon with 256MB RAM. I was looking at a Leaktek GTS 2 32MB but for the same price I get 32Megs more of memory and more features. What are your thoughts on this card and are you happy with it?

I love this card.. Went from a 3Dmark score of 3026 with a Voodoo3 to 5319 on a Duron 600. Pulled off a 7067 with my Athlon 850. Video is fun too! Just wish I could figure out how to make a V-CD.

Just from my experience - Geforce Cards and VIA chipset don't mix... If you have a VIA chipset, get a Radeon. I have a VIVO 64 Meg and it is great.

Im liking mine a lot, I've had no big problems with it at all. It runs Unreal engine games with everything turned on really smooth at 1024X768 (on a 800mhz). I'd recommend it. The only game that really isn't that big of an improvement is Tribes, but thats because OpenGL in the game was kinda tacked on.

I replaced my LeadTek GeForce2 MX with a Radeon DDR 64 VIVO recently for the same reason as you: video editing.

Installation: Was a b!tch. Apparently, there's a real incompatibility with my Abit KA7 mobo and the Radeon. I had to disable AGP 4x in order to load Win98 SE. I had to try a number of different driver combinations before getting it to work.

Video quality: Haven't noticed any measurable improvement or degradation over the Geforce2 MX.

Gaming: YMMV. I play EverQuest most of the time and have noticed faster frame rates overall. OTOH, I get an occasional BSoD. No rhyme or reason for it. Didn't happen with the GeForce2 MX.

Drivers: Still remain an issue under Win2K. I'm leary about delving into that bag of worms after my experience with getting the card to work under Win98 SE.

If only nVidia cards had better video editing...

I had a 32m DDR radeon I just never got too work on this epox 7kxa mobo. The monitor would just shut off during the windows load. It wouldn't go into safemode. windows was booting fine I could use the keyboard to restart/shutdown I messed with it for days never got anywhere. My vio was low and even did a voltage mod to get it up over 3.2V(I know, that sucks!) nothing. Sold it to a friend with an abit kt7 and he had it going in 2min. Makes me mad because it looks so damn good on his rig, the 2d is great and the visual quality overall really blows my GeForce MX away

My radeon 64mb DDR without VIVO is probably my favorite video card that I have used and I have used almost all of them. You will not regret going the radeon route...
