Is Doom 3 Open GL or Direct x9 game? The game runs great in single player but in Multiplayer it is slower than snail snot in the FPS area. I get a fluctuation in Single player of about 25-55fps but in multiplayer its more like 9-30fps
 
The install asks you to install DirectX 9 (even though I already had 9.0c). ..

EDIT: If it is OGL, can someone explain why the install for the game asks you to install Direct X 9.0?

The SP has been great so far, although maybe I should've picked a higher difficulty up other than the 2nd to easiest one. Maybe it gets a lot harder though. However, as long as you can save/load anywhere it's just not possible for it to be THAT hard. You can save after every couple enemies if you want, or more. And people would be unhappy if they couldn't save/load anywhere.

I tried MP and it didn't run so well. Not sure why. The server browser seemed messed up a bit, I kept getting full/passworded games despite filters.
 
at first i thought this was a thread literally asking, "what is doom 3?". lol, i got scared for a moment.

Nah, not the audio or the video, I beleive its for the I/O (gamepads, mice, ect)
 
Direct X 9.0c???? When? Where? How long? What are you doing with my wife? How much will you give me for it?
