What is Dnet doing to my cows? :|

I have installed XP pro and installed RC5 set up on this machine. I leave it on continuously so as to maximize our team effort to win the RC5 Prize. I go into see how its doing and its cracking for OGR. WTF!:|
I delete the buffers,in and out, I set the RC5 as the only thing to run and set it at 350 units and 3 hour checkup. I open it just now and it dumped all the out buffers RC5 and then loaded up and created OGR buffers and is cracking OGR.

If This is happening to anyone else, please respond. Check your herd. I think there is a cattle rustler out there, and if its Dnet, then adios amigos. My machines will be pulled to serve a more worthy cause.

Did you remember to turn OGR off with OGR=0? Or at least list RC5 first in the project priority? If not, edit that line in dnetc.ini to look like this:

project-priority=CSC=0,DES=0,RC5,OGR

Edit: sorry; I guess my preferences are set to OGR; it's been awhile since I ran DNet on this machine. The line above is now correct.

I sure did. I have been doing this for 3 days now. I remove it,modify it,edit it, and it keeps coming back. I did not sign up for OGR, and therefor, if Dnet is doing this,they have taken control of my PC without my permission and I will seek legal help in ending such a practice.

I can assure you, I have never signed up for OGR. NEVER.. and this is why I am asking all members to verify if their herds have been let out of the pasture and an OGR gremlin has taken their place.

I just checked my only surviving cow from my DNet days, and it's still on RC5. It flushes through the round robin, which may make a difference.

if you've set all the no ogr settings and its still reverting I dont know :Q I would E-mail them see whats up.

I usually just set OGR to 0

as I don't plan to stay on with dNet once this project is finished. Haven't done a single OGR block in ages...

Like GeoffS shows. AFAIK, all four projects must be listed in the project-priority line... simply putting "project-priority=RC5" will not eliminate the others from consideration. If you've already done that, you might make sure that all the letter O's are really O's, and all the numeral 0's are really zeros in that line. Otherwise, I don't know why your client would be defying the dnetc.cfg file like that.

Mech is right. Post your ini file and we will take a look at it for you. I can't see Dnet changing your INI file.. It's just not possible. We WILL get it working for you.

I tried a copy paste and XP didn't allow it. No prob. I took Mcbegon's advice, reset prioity to RC5 and "=0" for all the rest. I'll see how it holds. This was not the first time this has happened. I'm about to set up some gear to see who is sniffing around. I have been doing this for along time, and have installed Dnet on at least 15 machines here. This may be something XP did. The dang OS is so protective. I may have installed and it took a snapshot before I modified it to my liking. Then on re boot, it went back to stock settings.
