What is "CPU Keep Out Zone for Type C Heat Sink"? And can you install only one CPU in a Dual P3 board?

What is "CPU Keep Out Zone for Type C Heat Sink"?

The 6VXD7 advertises it but I don't see it advertised for the 6VXDC7...I can't see any capacitors on the DC7 that the D7 Doesn't have....any Idea what that means?

Also can I get a Dual Socket370 board and just put 1 P3 in it for now?

Edit: Oh Also...if I got a P3-700E O/C'd to 933Mhz, could I use a real P3-933 as the 2nd CPU?

Why didn't I just add that as an edit? I'm a weird one...

i have no idea ;)

you'll probably need a terminator card.

probably not, since I don't think most duallie boards have a seperate FSB for each processor

cheers,

They'd both be running at 7x133 = 933.

It's just one of them was originally a 7x100 and it's overclocked, one of them is actually a 7x133. So both chips are running at 7x133Mhz.

YEs you can. YOu can put a 933 and a 700@933 togehter. Most boards will make them use teh same voltage thouhg. For smp all you need is the same type of chip. You don't even need teh same amount of cache. Back in the day some people ran a celeron 300@450 with a p2 450. Your processors need to be teh same fsb at teh same speed. Alose the voltage should be close. SO coppermine and katmai won't work. But cbo and cco will. Remeber that the voltage is detected from the first socket/ slot in most mobo's

Yes you can just run a 700E o/c'd to 933 in it for now and put in another real 933EB in the future, you don't need any sort of terminator as per what joinT said.
