Hi guys

When I look at the various processes running in XP task manager, there is a process called mixer.exe which seems to eat up memory as it keeps growing and growing. I have discovered that it belongs to a prog/application called C-Media. I am not sure what this is.... do I need it? Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

frank

That would be your soundcard/integrated soundchip, manufactured by C-media (apparently!).
Mixer.exe is the program/driver that controls the chip.

More info: C-media
