I know you can change the background color of the Microsoft Death Screen but I always wondered why M$ chose blue as the default. My guess is that blue is a psychologically "relaxing" color that's why they picked it. M$ probably felt if the background was blue folks wouldn't get so angry at crashes. Didn't work in my case.
