what is better zalman 7700 or bigwater 120

Isnt the Bigwater a whole watercooling kit? It costs around $160.
The Zalman 7700 costs around $40..
 
The bigwater is an entire liquid colling kit... You should pay under $150 for it (MSRP is $149.95)... You can find it for less if you take the time to look... Such as here... I have a source that lists it for even less than that, which I trust... Unfortunately, it's not in stock with them at the moment...
 
I have not used it... and have read mixed reviews. I would imagine that this falls in line with entry level WC. Probably aimed at quite>cooling. There are a small handfull of reviews out there. Check out Tt's site and under the BWC page there are links.
 
I've seen reviews that rate it pretty high. It's quiet, and cools pretty nice.

Anyone?? Come on, SOMEONE has to have used at least ONE of the listed coolers... I'm giving a serious look at the bigwater due to price, included items, noise level AND that I only need to cool the processor.

I still have my goal of <30C at idle on my processor (754 pin) with very little (if any) noise coming from the processor cooler. Right now, I'm at 34-38C with little noise, on idle. I want the lower temps at low noise still... Without dumping $150+ on a processor cooler... I can get the bigwater item for about $100 (plus a few $$ shipping)... Well, when it's available again at the end of the month... Either Tt isn't producing enough of them, the demand is high (and low production), or they are not selling well, so the distributors are keeping low inventory until they see higher demand.
 
I'd go with the 7700 because the Bigwater has a very small radiator so probably wont cool as well and the Zalman's are very very quiet maybe even quieter than the Bigwater.
 
From what I've seen and read, the bigwater has a 120mm radiator (and fan) which is pretty standard for most people that go that way. Hell, some people even go down to 80mm radiators (can be found just as easily as 120mm radiators). Also, a lot of people go with single fan radiators so that they don't have to hack up their case to get the thing to fit, like you might have to with dual fan radiators (really 4 fans if you put them on both sides). I would be using two fans on the 120mm radiator, to move more air through it. Probably have the faster/higher CFM at dbA pulling with the other pushing.

Right now, I'm on my third heatsink on my Athlon64 3400+ (754 pin) with not much change between them. The XP-120 that I'm using now is giving me 34C processor and 32C mobo/case temps at idle (WMCE's console is running, which is a bit more than idle). I have the fan sucking off the heatsink, since I wanted to compare it to when it was blowing. Case temps are better, but I still want lower processor temps...

The quest goes on...
