I have been working on a project for a lady for a few weeks now and it is ready to be burnt. She will be sending the DVD out to a few hundred people and I want to get what will be most compatible with everyone's DVD players. Would it be +R or -R? I usually just get whats cheapest and it usually always works on my DVD player so I am not really sure.

Most players don't care.. If you can do bitsetting on your PC, you can basically make it appear to be a factory pressed DVD that will work in any player.

Yet, bitsetting only works for DVD+R's, so DVD+R's are preferred if you have a DVD burner that can set that stuff 😉

most players don't care.... i get 100 on a spindle from newegg all the time, and they work well for everything.

The software that does the final authoring is also very important. Some software doesn't adhere strict enough to the DVD standard and it will cause the same problems as the media. I've been using Sony DVD Architect 5.0 and it made even my worse media playable.
