sorry, where would i post this kind of message? Thanks, what does brick and mortar refer to?

Thanks

The ~~ I Wanna ~~ thread might be a good start. Brick and Mortar (or B&M) refers to the actual physical retail store - not an Internet store.

A mortar is a type of muzzle-loading military cannon with a short barrel that fires shells at high elevations for a short range utilizing a hyberbolic path to delivery lethal capacity.

mor·tar Pronunciation Key (môrtr)
n.

Any of various bonding materials used in masonry, surfacing, and plastering, especially a plastic mixture of cement or lime, sand, and water that hardens in place and is used to bind together bricks or stones.

brick Pronunciation Key (brk)
n.
pl. bricks or brick A molded rectangular block of clay baked by the sun or in a kiln until hard and used as a building and paving material.

Hence, the reference to the actual physical store, as opposed to the internet store.

Seeing how this is such a common question maybe the mods could make a short sticky post called Commonly Used Acronyms with all the usual stuff like B&M, YMMV, MIR.. etc, etc,
