Tiny pellets, less than 1/8" diameter.
You can empty a round of 60 in a couple seconds.

Ok i've read a bit now - do they leave welts/bruises like paintballs?
I'm looking for a place around orlando that sells the stuff, looks like i might have to look online to buy stuff.
Am i right when i say the electronic guns dont use "cans" of air/co2?

Done by the honor system (play with your friends so they don't lie). I've been shot by a paintball before, and it HURTS, plus it leaves a bruise. I'm not sure about airsoft, but a lot of people say it's not nearly as bad as p-ball, and if my calculations are correct, it's much less powerful with more range and accuracy. Everything is less expensive, too.

Iinquiring/enquiring minds want to know!

It depends. If you get hit by an electric, it might leave a little red mark if shot at about 25-30 feet+. If any closer, you'll probably be a little purple. Gas guns are less powerful and leave smaller or less painful marks. However...if you're like me, and get shot with a full auto M11 from about 1 foot away loaded with high-power red gas...well, you get a nice foot-long stream of bloody, scarring holes on your skin. :)

I was looking today, and they do make paintballs for them, but do not gaurantee that they will perform right. Also voids your warranty on your airsoft pistol/rilfe if you use them.

If that wasn't the case I would be all over it. Would be awesome if they shot the small paintballs accurately and without problems

Yeah, the problem is, the electric guns would shoot the balls so fast that you'd have your gun full of paint pretty effing quick...and we don't want our ELECTRIC guns getting drenched with paint, do we? ;)

what about the spring ones? or the ones that run off of the green gas? Or even if you got one that was semi-auto?

Actually..6mm = .24"..just under 1/4". ;)

This is what a 400fps AEG does to a soda can..apparently it feels like a paintball hit from ~80ft. It's not stock, though (stock is ~280fps).
