Wanna bet? I can stew over something indefinitely. I never let something as arbitrary as time ruin a good grudge. I'm still miffed over the loss of the blue shocked smiley. I bet you thought I forgot, didn't you?

I notice now, that the nitwits who can't bother to trim insanely long quote trees, no longer cause the window to scroll right to left. There's a huge plus. Only thing better would be to get rid of the damn quote button altogether!
Or, make somewhat intelligent, like just about every other forum software package on the planet, so it trims the quoted quotes and the quoted quoted quotes from within the quote when you reply. :)

Yeah, but some things are stupid, like the system for accessing the entire PM history of a given user (very important to people like myself who use PMs for thread subscription notify, since the mail notify seems to be rather unreliable at times). Now it requires several more clicks than before, and on dialup this means a longer-than-necessary wait. :(

Of course, nobody (well, very few) give a s... about dialup users these days, so I don't expect to be taken seriously. After all, we're either too poor, or just have different priorities for our money, but if we really cared, we should just shut up and get broadband, right? It's available to everyone these days, hmm?

Has anyone found any improvements?

I haven't, only functions that I like and where important to me are now gone.

If they would actually implement some of the things that were added (perhaps even in a previous version but maybe not stable enough until now?), then it might go over better, as we'd see some reason for the change, instead of dealing with lots of crap and having no reason whatsoever for going through it. For example, how about some code attachment in DC and SP&G, or some subforums in DC and wherever else they might be useful?

When does your sub expire?

Actually, I think the plan is to offer subscriptions so that people can pay to use the old FuseTalk software... ;)

Half the added avatars are objects. I never understood why someone would want to be an office building.

When does your sub expire?

Unfortunately, it expires in 17 days.

As far as I can tell, this is whats new:

1) New smilies
2) New avatars
3) New Format/Layout
4) Search is slightly modified/better
5) There are now RSS feeds (which are completely and utterly useless as they are, but thats another post)
6)The buttons on the top are different
7)Replies are now popups.
8)Clicking the username in your PM box will give you their profile, not the message history (which SUCKS)
9)When you reply to a pm, it brings you back to your pm box.
10)The message subtitles
11)In my forums, the posts arent sorted by last post date, they are sorted by activity.

Along with these changes, what I can tell has been taken out:
12)The bottom nav bar
13)The ability to have threads come up in reverse order
14)The ability to sort threads by date posted, not date replied
15)When you go back to a page, it drops you off at the top, not where you were when you linked.
16)You can only go from one page of threads to the next, you are not given a choice of which page to go to.

Although Im sure theres plenty I missed.

Im totally indifferent to 1,2,3, and 4. 5 has potential, but right now I cant possibly tell what it could be useful for. 6 is a pain in the ass cause you cant right click them anymore. 7 I could go either way on. 8 and 9 are the worst things in the world. 10 is fine in my book, and 11 is just kinda stupid.

I couldnt care less about 12 or 13, but 14 is a biggie, and 15 and 16 is an annoyance.

So out of it all, the only genuine improvement I can see is the subtitles, but thats a matter of opinion. The popup reply as well. Theres a few that are just changes (like the smilies and layout), but we had smilies before, so I dont see why we needed new ones.

But the rest is just a loss, not a gain.

On the My Forums page, I can only see half of the screen horizontally and have to scroll over to the right to see the other half. And this is in IE. Why?
