Something that you will regret renting in the future, espically if you have a lot of guests that sleep over. Trust me on this one.

Some studios are not small... they are just where the living room and the bedroom are one and the same. In so cal, the majority of them are small. I have seen a few where they were a good size, just one big room...

They aren't that bad for a single person, at all.

it means an artists studio, with a small bedroom "area", a kitchen "area" and a bathroom.

they can be huge, i have seen one that was about 2 storeys high and had one of those cool lifts that could take a car.

The studio I am in now is 510 SF, about the largest studio I have found in the city. I have a California King waterbed in here and therefore the only thing really in the apt is the bed:(

hmm, too bad I am the only one in it

I wouldn't mind it if it were a girlfriend I was living with.

I called about a regular one bedroom apartment tonite, and it is only 450sq feet with 2 floors. Those must be small floors.
The studio apartment said it was "large". I'll probably check it out.

I lived in a 450 sf studio. Its fine if you have not lived in bigger places, but it is a hard adjustment to make.

I had to get the studio when I moved to the SF bay area. only $1000/month, what a bargain (sarcasm)

a really bad idea. If you're paranoid, you'll eventaully sense the walls closing in on you adn go wacko.

Actually, there are some "studios" that are REALLY large for one person.

In general, they are pretty small especially in an urban area. In a suburb, you might get a big one with over 500+ sq ft with the "half upstairs."

It just doesn't feel right. As much as I would love the idea of living next to a full sized fridge.
