Acid Thunder by Fast Eddie

It turned me on to Acid and hardcore, and also raves. Best 6 years of my life. So far, that is.

Man, I forgot about Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town. That song reminds me of high school to the max.

Plush (acoustic) by STP also holds some significance to me... that song came out when I was really little, and I remember hearing it on the radio a few times when I was in an Amigos eating some crappy Tex-Mex food...

Tuesday's Gone by Lynyrd Skynyrd also reminds me of when I met my current girlfriend nearly two years ago :)

Im constantly being reminded of places and situations by music.

Coldplay - Clocks - Reminds me of being in Vegas w/ my dad. they played this song @ MGM ad nauseum when it came out.
Loggins & Messina - Angry Eyes - reminds me of a school sponsored camping trip in college. one of the van drivers bought the L&M greatest hits tape at truckstop for .99 or something.
GNR - November Rain / Pearl Jam - Jeremy - middle school.

lots more but these are just off the top of my head.

I was trying to respond to this thread but there are so many songs and a lot of times the reasons are very personal. Music is the only thing I really care about and there's probably not very much time in a day where I'm not listening to music.

Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper

I still tear up when I listen to it. The reason is still too personal and majorly depressing for me.

Time in a bottle - Jim Croce
For the reminders of when life was great, the kids were still at home, and we were at the top of it all

That song makes me weepy everytime I hear it :(. I wish I spent more time with my dad.

Up there near the top for me as well. Huge PJ fan and that song is amazing in concert. But it just always reminds me of an ex girlfriend I had in college who I was really close to but parted ways with. And it's a great song for singing in your car when you're driving alone. I know I'm not the only one here who has yelled in a tone-deaf voice: "I just want to scream....HELLO!!!!!...My GOD it's BEEN so long...never DREAMED you'd return.." :D

And Billy Squire's "Nobody Knows" Just a song that was relevant to me during a really, really dark point in my life (following the breakup of ex mentioned above). Great lyrics and great song.

Pearl Jam's "Release." Just reminds me of my father, who left us when I was a teenager.

And on a completely cheesy note, Faster Pussycat's "House of Pain." The epitome of a "dad left us" song. That one gets to me sometimes just because of the emotional scars I still carry from my childhood. I know it came from a hair band but it really is a good song that hits home.
