What is a reputable electronics/photo store in the U.K that would ship to America? I'm thinking of ordering a Canon SX-1 IS and having it shipped over.

I don't know if they ship to USA, but I believe Jessops (jessops.com) is the UK's largest camera shop.
 
Many eBay stores will ship overseas as well...as long as you do your homework and buy from a large eBay store with good reviews, you should be fine.

And is an authorized Canon dealer, so Canon will honor the warranty.
