What is a "reasonable and timely manner" for shipping FS/T items?

Question for you traders: Bought something through FS/T. Shipper said he'd ship the item on a certain date. A whole week passes, I don't receive the item. I PM the seller on that 7th day. I get no response. Two days later, I receive the item, with a shipping date 2 days earlier (i.e. after I reminded him). Three things I see wrong here:

1. Didn't ship when he said he would
2. Only shipped after I reminded him. Apparently he just forgot?
3. No response to my PM. Open communication is appreciated.

I was unhappy with this deal. Was I being unreasonable?

I would be, but theres really nothing you can do...

If he said he shipped on a certain date it should have been shipped on a certain date. Make sure you put that in Heatware...

nope you weren't. And do what arod said, put it in his heatware. People deserve to know about this. It's not horribly bad, but it isn't good either

since you did receive the item, the trade was completed. but i would definitely note this in heatware, shipping a week later than promised date is bad trading imo.

This DOES warrant a neutral heatware though. He did not communicate and did not do what he said he would do. I could understand being a day or two late shipping but a week requires that the person keep the line of communication open.

Well, I did post a Heatware eval. This was back in December/January, I posted the eval then. I was very unhappy, so I gave him a negative. I just noticed now that he recently rated me a "neutral", saying that he did ship the items in a "reasonable and timely manner." I'm sorry, but I disagree. I'm not a huge trader, but I don't think I did anything out of line. Before I posted the eval, I went back to FS/T and re-read the trading guidelines. The rules are pretty clear: ship in a timely manner, and post an eval, no matter what.

Well, future traders with him can always read my eval and decide for themselves if a week is considered "reasonable and timely," or if I'm out of line.
