I tried Level vodka for the first time tonight. It was smooth as silk and delicious. Same price range as all the top vodkas. Give it a try.

How about some Blavod (black vodka) so he can make black martinis? Or red (Vampire, Voodoo Red, etc.). Anyone tried any of this stuff? :D Or UV?

BTW, check this bottle out. And 9 times filtered.

Ketel One, Grey Goose, Belvedere, Chopin, probably a couple other "high end" vodkas I'm missing.
Finlandia, Jewel of Russia (from what I hear), Stoli, Van Gogh?

Also wondering how Shakers and Blue Ice compare, as others asked. And 3 Olives (the unflavored).

Level is made by Absolut. I guess it's their premium tequila?

I heard there was a new Ak-47 vodka. I am not sure about its quality, but atleast you garuntee it is something new, and that he has never tried it before?

Maybe I am mistaken.

Grey Goose is the best, but it's French (go figure) ...

Belvedere is Polish vodka and also very nice (I like it better than Goose).

I'm sure there are some exotics but, how much did you want to spend (if that's an issue)? There are some special releases of both of the above. Check in with your local super-liquor store and see what they have in the "specials" case.

Good Luck

Scott

Can you guys actually taste that much of a difference between decent vodkas? It's pretty slight to me.
How would you rate all the popular vodkas, favorite to least favorite (nothing cheaper than Smirnoff).

looks interesting, thats for sure. Its cool to be able to "float" the black vodka on top of drinks, to make it apear two layered.

Oh yeah I didn't mean to say it would all be black. BTW, they have it up at the register at the local store here. It's $20 and comes in a neoprene zip up coozy thing (like a beer bottle coozy).
