What is a good way to fully test my computer?

Recently my computer has been locking up and I think i found a way to fix it. I would really like to know if there is a program I can download or use that will really stress my computer. This is mainly for my proc and especially my motherboard.

Prime95 - self test
CPUTester or something, it tests your cpu part by part... forgot name of it tho.

prime95 is definately stressful on the cpu and 3dmark2001 is a good stress test for the system as a whole
