That's not really true. There's the Biblia Sacra iuxta vulgatam versionem (an attempt to restore the vulgate to its original latin), the Bibliorum Sacrorum nova vulgata editio (currently used as official text by Roman Catholic church), and the Biblia Sacra iuxta Vulgatam Clementinam in print today (official from 16th century to 1970's). There
was one version, but it's not sitting around to be copied.
