I still like the Hauppauge TV tuner cards. They have WinXP drivers and a newer version of their TV software that incorporates deinterlacing; therefore, picture quality in full screen mode, is fairly respectable.

I, currently, own the WinTV-radio (dbx stereo support).

Their old software for windows 2000 works also, and much better. I would rather have it change my video mode to 640x480 than scale the tv image. Comparing the two, the old version wins every time picture quality wise. There is much less feathering, and colors are more natural, not as blochy as the new software. Not to mention you have to have overlay support in your video card for the de-interlacer to even work. GF2 owners beware, the overlay mode is not supported with the new drivers (as per my experience).

EDIT: currently giving them another try. They seem to have fixed the overlay problem, I take it back. It works great now. Still have to hit alt-tab after going full screen for the numbers on the remote to work though.

I am just afraid of getting a buggy card and ended up spending more time fixing it than watching TV.

the cheap $30 one at compusa was pretty good it had remote too, Pinnacle Studio pro i think it was. The ATI TV wonders current drivers don't like XP.
