I know that I need some kind of soldering pen... but I have no idea where to get it... and I live in Canada... so... (A small town too...).. Could Some one provide a site or something helpful?

Thx

Jack

Search on google for "soldering iron". You WILL need practice. But it's easy after about an hour or so of dedicated work. Buy a weller and a point tip.

well.. what i have right now at home is this

But i don't know if it will work though... is there a very small soldering tip that I can buy for this soldering gun/pencil?

That should work. For tips, go to your local radioshack. BTW, read a few guides, and get a spring stand with a sponge.

Spring stand and a sponge? Are those necessities?

No, but they are nice additions for the soldering guru.

Umm I would suggesting you practice a bit as it sounds like you've never soldered before. I solder quite a bit but I'm letting my EE major friend do this one as you have to be extremely proficent to do this kind of precision work.

No, but it's a cheapie at radioshack and well worth it IMO, it speeds things up and it's cleaner.

Also, remember to wear goggles. Theres nothing like hot solder jumping up right next to your eye and scaring the crap out of you. Its funny, but it also doesn't feel to good, especially when it almost gets in your eye. 🙂
