I'd really recommend both. Dexter should actually be 6/5 so as to not make Jericho look worse. :p

What I love about these shows is that the character development is awesome. It keeps you interested in the show as a whole instead of depending on the plot alone every episode.

The Wire will definitely keep you occupied. you'll find yourself slowly drawn in. it's not what you expect it to be...
