I use BurnAtOnce to make CD images. I've never tried burning something with the program though.

EDIT: It's freeware.

Alcohol 120 is your best bet. Haven't encountered a CD it couldn't make an ISO of!

oh...duh

if you have nero you can make iso's (havent used it in a while, gah) from files
burn to hard disk, instead of with your cd burner...itll let you compile and save an iso

Alcohol 120 has an activation delay which is annoying but can be dealt with if you don't wish to pay for it.
