Free and good do not necessarily come together in this area. The best are not free. But this seems like a good bet because it is the burn part of DVD Decrypt - which is very good.

Burnware

But - none of them are very good at simply copying files to a DVD - that is packet writing, and basically it sucks.

Gather your files into a folder of your creation - then when you have enough for a DVD, then burn it (burn at once). Using a DVD like a drive is not a good idea.

Hi, Sounds like you are running XP. If you don't like XPs burning software then load the burner that came with the Drive or download it from the maker. Jim

Nero Express 6 comes with a lot of Burners now adays...and the option to just create a "Data DVD" is a handy option when backing up certain files really quick. Nero is easy to use , and get yourself a DVD-RW. Then you can update your files without having to waste a disk.
