What is a good DSL modem?

What is a good DSL modem for a decent price? I REALLY cant spend much... also where is a good place to get one, I noticed newegg doesnt sell them, so im kinda at a loss..

The only DSL modem I have used was called an...

Alcatel USB EasyTouch Pro (I think that was the name of it )

Connected to USB. Worked pretty well, and it is a pretty green manta-ray looking thing that looks pretty on your desktop

I was not aware that you could by them most ISp's demand you use their equiptment ...I have seen cable modems in limited supply on the net tho
