What is a good 17" LCD monitor for about $450.00?

I am thinking about getting a 17" LCD monitor for about $450.00. I am thinking about getting the SONY SDM-S74/B from Newegg. This monitor can be seen by clicking here. This monitor goes for $435.00 plus $18.00 for shipping. What do you guys think I should get. Thanks for your help.

check out Acer Al1715BM at pagecomputers. $355 + shipping. Better LCD and better price. That's what I have now.

Samsung 172X. I sold off my BenQ FP737S just yesterday, gonna go grab one of these babies later.

That Samsung is pretty nice, but it's almost $600.00.

The only reason samsung can hike up the price of their monitors is they are the only ones who make the stylish, ultra thin and VESA Wall Mounted Monitors.....

It's not that nice. Read some user reviews, it's problem plagued.

Go for one of the 16ms varieties, be it Hitachi's model or NEC's 1760 series. Strangely enough, the prices of most of these LCDs have gone UP in the last year... Mine is almost $100 more than when I bought it. Wierd.

I picked up two of them last week for $399 each and i absolutely love them!
