Put down 0 wpm on resume and add 500 words on voice recongization. That will make you stand out on all resumes.

Seriously, I type 55+, which is average.

* EDIT *

Took the typing test and it turns out better than I thought. 65wpm with 85% accuracy.

Chin up "slow pokes" ! 60+ is pretty good anyway. A friend of mine who has been working professionally in IT for a couple years types at 35 wpm.

As long as your technique is good and you force yourself to type without looking at keyboard you'll get fast quickly.

If you can touch type or type properly without looking at the keyboard THATS more advantagous to you. If your entering data to the computer thats going to take longer if you have to look at the keyboard, but if you can do it without looking at the keyboard then its a big advantage you have.

77wpm for me when copying that text. I can type faster when typing what I want though. I'd put down 85wpm for my CV. I can do that no problems but when coping text I'm fast but not as fast for obvious reasons. I type properly as well ;P

77 WPM 100% accuracy typing properly. 83 WPM 100% accuracy using just two fingers. Oh well, I just can't do the proper typing correctly. My high school typing teacher couldn't stand that I can type with two fingers faster than any other student following the proper procedure.

Edit: Haha, I found an incorrectly spelled word on a post where I reported 100% accuracy. I guess I can type but not spell.

:Q:Q:Q holy... I got 120wpm on this keyboard! It's a split keyboard with those fat keys... I was surprised. I thought I could only get that fast on "normal" keyboards... heh, oh well. :D

60WPM is good; a wrod every second.

I get 64 words/minute with 98% accuracy, not bad.
