It's twice as scary as regular danger.

Google doppleganger. In modern usage it often just means twin or lookalike without having to be evil or ghostly.

Its a magic card that you can choose to be any other creature type each turn, Unlike the clone witch you can only choose when you play the card.

That was my answer!!! But you forgot to include that a doppleganger remains a blue creature card while a clone can copy color.

Literally means "life double." Commonly used in literature to foreshadow the demise of the main character, by describing another character of similar charactaristics/circumstances that bites the dust in some way. Shakespeare used it frequently, IIRC.

Really want to hear something nerdy? :D

D&D description:

Doppelgangers are strange beings that are able to take on the shapes of those they encounter. In its natural form, the creature looks more or less humanoid, but slender and frail, with gangly limbs and half-formed features. The flesh is pale and hairless. Its large, bulging eyes are yellow with slitted pupils.

A doppelganger's appearance is deceiving even when it's in its true form. A doppelganger is hardy, with natural agility not in keeping with its frail appearance.

Because they can take shape of any humanoid between 4 and 8 feet tall, doppelgangers are natural spies and assassins. They can past sentries, slip into secured places, and fool even lovers or close friends. They are cunning and patient, willing to wait until an opportunity presents itself instead of attacking rashly.

Doppelgangers make excellent use of their natural mimicry to stage ambushes, bait traps, and infiltrate humanoid society. Although now usually evil, they are interested only in themselves and regard all others as playthings to be manipulated and deceived.

Its natural form a doppelganger is about 5-1/2 feet tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
