Circuit City is trying to come up with a better name for their PC tech services than "IQ Crew". I happen to be a Circuit City Tech, so they are asking me for ideas. They didn't really specify anything they wanted, but my thoughts would be something that sounds professional yet user-friendly... I figured ATOT might come up with a few ideas. go for it.

I've stood in the PC section to see what some of those clowns have to say at my local Circuit City. I will not support any measures that may acutally make them sound smarter.

The IQ Crew name first of all seems a bit too nerdy and non-computer related. Second of all the name is tarnished by how they used to run their tech bench - whoever was there did the work, no matter what training or such they had. Now (as of about 3 weeks ago) they are testing a new way of doing it in some stores - having actual trained technitions do the work. go figure.
oh, and amol - same is true for the average car repairman. most people pay someone to change your oil, air filter, other various smaller things... things that they could do themselves, but the thought of opening the hood intimidates them - or they don't have time to hassle with it. I do it all the time - drop my car off at the wal-mart oil shop, go shopping, come back an hour later, bing-bang-boom, $20 later its done. Same can be true for most smaller pc install/services.

wow...you came to the wrong place for that kind of advice, most people here, as noted above hate Circuit City and Best Buy.
