Sounds like you have no AGP slot. Or something, I can't tell from the way you write. Oh, and welcome to Anandtech.

Welcome to the forums :)

It sounds like what you are trying to ask is: "what low-profile PCI video cards can I buy for my Gateway?" correct?

A good tool to learn here is the search box, and when that fails the Advanced Search link. I used Advanced Search and the keyword "profile" to find this list of cards

If that doesn't help, you might try doing the search yourself since I stopped looking after finding that one.

You have what is called a low profile slot. These suck. Anyway, what I do in that situation is go to newegg.com and look at all video cards using "sumarry view" which gives you thumbnails of the pictures. Then I look at all the thumbnails to see which ones are low profile. None of them have low profile brackets there, but I bend and cut the full height brackets down on low profile cards.

You could always try mounting your card without the bracket, but I doubt the lid will close. Even then, your connections will probably be too high for the slot, unless it's a low profile card with a full height bracket.

Err, if it's white, it's probably PCI. If it's brown, it's probably AGP. Also, with the card in the board, if the metal holder is mostly on the power supply of the board, it's a PCI card, and if the metal holder is mostly on the lower side, it's AGP (hmm, make any sense)?
