The only intel CPUs in my house right now are an CULV SU7300 in my laptop and a Celeron 2.6GHz in an old Inspiron 1150 I have laying around.

Working on stable settings for 4.4ghz I got room to play on voltages so I think it'll go....Well at least I'm kinda thinking that way so far

I think I crossed the line to extremem overclocking.

Once done I'll update my post with photos etc, And I guess what I've learned about the chip and the evga P55 SLI motherboard....Which kicks arse

My newest CPU is the i5 750. It replaced the E6750 I had in my box. Wife's PC is still running a E6750.

E8400 overclocked to 4 Ghz in my main machine and a Q6600 in my server. I built two other machines, one with an E7200 and another with an E6750. My brothers have those two.

I don't plan on upgrading my main rig for another 2 years, minimum, unless the board or CPU croaks. I am about to take a plunge on an Athlon II x4 for an HTPC upgrade, however.

Let me put it this way.

My wife's computer is running a dual core Pentium 915 pressler CPU. And given the extreme heat problems and the not very stellar performance of that chip, I could maybe
quite justly say no one in their right mind should buy an intel cpu. Or maybe I should call it a cp pue.

At the same time I have a similar set up running an intel e5200 cpu. It runs rings around my wife' cpu, and I can even overclock it quite a bit and it runs cooler under 100% load than my wife's does at zero load. Could I on that basis say everyone should buy an intel cpu?
