what instant messanging software do you use?

Trillian and Skype although mostly skype. i keep trillian cause all israeli's for some reason must use ICQ (the stupidest program ever which i refuse to install) so this is a way to bypass that.

I run Linux at home and got used to using Pidgin, so I started using it at work in Windows too. I only use it for Yahoo Messenger access. I wish it did Skype chat which is what everyone uses at work though.

Trillian. GAIM has been buggy for awhile and I got tired of putting up with something like, "Oh I resized the window... too bad it just froze up on me!" GTK for Windows = Garbage. Never liked Miranda and I abhor the normal clients.

but yes, pidgin I use, but only because there's no alternative i like.. GTK sucks on windows though

pidgin here too. it's gotten fairly stable lately, haven't had it crash this release.

Pidgin... I don't use a lot of the IM features like video, sounds, file transfer etc. I don't know how well they work.

I use jabber/miranda at work (we use it for intra-company messaging) and don't use anything at home.

when I need/want to talk to my friends, we usually go with email or just using ye ol' cellphone.
