you can use any network (including gtalk and xfire, and of course aim), and its such a simple client

btw, pidgin is gaim 2.0.. new name since AOL got pissy about gaim having the letters 'aim' in it

i'm not on AIM that much anymore, but i just keep one of the old versions...none of the BS they started to add w/ the new ones.

AIM from oldversion.com and MSN. I have tried Trillian and GAIM too many time and always switch back...

I just use the current version of Yahoo Messenger. We had standardized on it at work a long time back, and everyone I talk to is on that network. I left AIM forever when they started including sound in their advertisements. That was simply not acceptable.

Old version of AIM+DeadAIM. All my friends are on AIM so no reason to go anywhere else

I'm on the three major networks - Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger and Google Talk.
