Let the fun begin...
Someone from his theread on icronticforums just posted the link to this thread...
Let the fun begin! This one should be interesting to watch...
Go grab some popcorn!

CoolI can say something and not have to register over there. Dude it was an untested cpu, why the bitchy e-mail?

I would take the extra 200 Mhz without any hesitation.

I hope this nimrod is a AT member so he can see what a idiot he really is for even sending that message.

Compuwiz: If you need a hand, I got access to a truck, tow chain, some very large rope, knowledge of large oak trees, and I know of a place to ditch the body. 😀

Anyone got a tennis ball launcher and some boiled potatos?

i think everyone with Wiz in their handle should be ashamed because of that guy...

Overclocking used to be a big deal with me, but nrecently i stopped. The performance i was gaining did not overcome the damage to my CPU. So now the only thing OCed is my Palm VIIx, because it has to be!

Sorry to hear about your problem. I think you were more than fair in even offering a 1.2 @ 1.0 prices. This guy is going to "spread the word", eh? I wouldn't worry about it. Your reputation is shown at rr as well as here.

good post. try not to post there anymore now-you can "retire" with a relevant post rate of 100%-that's almost assured HOF status 🙂

compuwiz, at least you don't have to worry about any sort of warranty on that CPU as he admitted straight away to voiding it. 🙂
Did he even ask you what the code was on the third line, or inform you before he bought it that he wanted to overclock it to XXXXMhz?

Actually, his e-mail is NOT asking for a reply.

His is just dissatisfied and will not buy from you again - relief. 😉

🙂

The fact that he started a thread does not mean he is even mentioning compuwiz1 as a vendor by name. He is already getting plenty of flak in his forum.

I'd say his e-mail to you is just venting his frustration at the CPU (or his inability to o/c). There was no intellegent thought behind it.

I'd say since he didn't ask for a reply, since he didn't mention you by name, and (best of all) he will never buy from you again - ignore it and go on with your business (which has the highest respect and rating).

<< i think everyone with Wiz in their handle should be ashamed because of that guy... >>

roflmao, I was thinking WTF is he on, until I read it again. Thought you said hand.

WTF...if i paid for a 1.0...id be more than happy with a 1.2...whether it OCed or not...

and...is this guy some kind of a supreme rarity?? I dont think i've ever heard of the CPU that can't be OCed, no matter how SMALL the amount...

AXIA-9's are usually good for 1400...sheesh. Beyond that, if he wants a OC guarantee...BUY A PRE-TESTED CHIP...DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 😀 anything else is a gamble

Funny how he retractd and admitted he handled it wrong. Wow, he must of gotten some threatening emails. 😀

Man oh man, I have gotta respond to this.

<< I did not bash them Nor even mention thier name! ... I got a good product with fast shipping. ... And I handled it the wrong way? By sending him a email 1 on 1? >>

Let us see, in TheWiz's original e-mail to compuwiz1 (assuming of course that it was not tampered by compuwiz1) he states:

<< I am just writing to let you know I am very dissatisfied with the 1.2 gig "Axia" I recieved from you guys. >>

That suggests to me that he does not consider the chip to be "a good product".

<< Well this cpu you sent was a Axia with a 9 on the 3rd line and wont even overclock at all. >>

What is your point? Did you ask for a an AXIA CPU without a 9 on the 3rd line?

<< I will not buy from you again. I am a member of alot of overclocking forums such as Icrontic and ClubOC and will spread the word on my recent purchase! >>

So this is in no way "bashing" or threatening by saying that he will spread the word on a few forums? Surely then it would no longer just be a 1-on-1 e-mail.

compuwiz1, I just read TheWiz's update. Would you care to enlighten us a bit further on his further e-mail of apology?

It would seem that TheWiz does have some humility and knows when to apologise when he knows he is wrong.

so true lo5750ul

he said that he would spread the word about the "crappy product"
Its no longer a 1 on 1 thing...
He's a c0ck sucker... no doubt about it

Compuwiz1, did he send you an apology 10 minutes later, "for being a hothead"?

If so, let us know and I think the matter should be dropped.

As far as "threatening" e-mails go - that is ridiculous. This guy - although hasty and perhaps stupid - did NOT mention compuwiz' business by name in his thread at ANOTHER forum. No harm, no foul.

Yes, I did send him an apology. I knew I was wrong when I sent the original email. I have read all these flames and alot of them make sense. I am not a 14 year old, nor a "retard", I just made a mistake. I apologized to him directly after the email and told him I felt like a ass. I have read these flames and they made me see it from a 3rd persons perspective. I again apologize to the Adantech crew and to Compuwiz.
