A guy orders a 1GHz AXIA Tbird from my store. I am temporarily out of them, but could have them back in stock in a couple days. Bear in mind he orders a non tested chip, with no overclocking guarantee, just straight out of the tray. Being out of them, I give him the choice to wait, or I can send him an upgrade of a 1.2GHz chip, even at no extra cost, to try and help him and expedite things. I did that. Now this just in my email box from him:
<< I am just writing to let you know I am very dissatisfied with the 1.2 gig "Axia" I recieved from you guys. I originally ordered a 1 gig you you guys were out of stock and asked if I would accept a 1.2 gig in it's place. Well this cpu you sent was a Axia with a 9 on the 3rd line and wont even overclock at all. It almost seems as if i was shipped a dud cpu because you were out of stock of all the high quality cpu's. Maybe for future refrence you should specify if the cpu has a "Y" or "9" on the 3rd line. I will not buy from you again. I am a member of alot of overclocking forums such as Icrontic and ClubOC and will spread the word on my recent purchase! >>
Looks like a threat to me. I have zero desire to help people when they come at me like that. I did nothing wrong....at least that I can see. Did I?
If he was being civil about it, I might have offered to exchange it for something else, even though I don't feel I am obligated. Good lesson here....treat people the way you would like to be treated, and if you expect somone to help, be reasonable and polite. I always treat customers with dignity and respect. Wish it went both ways.
