What in the hell is this "creature?"

My boss found this crawling around his yard this weekend and took pics. We seem to think it's some sort of slug but it's just so incredibly surreal looking. Probably only a couple inches long as you can see in relation to my boss' hand.

It just looks so animated and "fake." Is it a specific type of slug? I tried googling in their image section and couldn't find one that looked like this one.

Can promise ya it's not. Taken with his personal camera and my boss can barely power up his computer, let alone use graphic enhancing software. I can upload the other pics if necessary. It's not fake...just creepy as hell looking.

Those aren't actualy its eyes, just a form of natural camoflauge to help deter predators.
