What are y'all using?

windows photo viewer. i really like it. fast.

and when i used to touch up photos, i would use windows live photo viewer, but it seems they eliminated that feature? wtf?

Picasa is fast, free, easy, and powerful. It's not lightroom or aperture, but for light work, it's fine.

XnView, Picasa or Windows Photo Viewer.

I like Picasa's face recognition and tagging feature, but in terms of image manipulation it's a bit limited and simple. XnView fills in the blanks there. Windows Photo Viewer (Win7) does the job for single image opening/viewing.

I use mainly IrfanView (full screen, no text) to view images too.

You mean they removed the editing, or the program from Windows 7?

Free Download: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/windows-live-essentials
How-to-edit: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/photo-gallery-edit-photos-faq

As the 2nd link says, I can see the editing ribbon if I open the program directly, then click on a picture from there, then all the features work.
