What connection do English/Brits typically use for their SD consoles? ebay.co.uk shows nothing but RF leads with those for-sale N64 PAL units. That's worse than the standard composite connection included with NTSC units. I connect mine with S-Video because it's the highest quality I can get from the NTSC console for an HDTV like mine. I hope HAL is using something comparable, like SCART or RGB.

I have an RF connector as well but i to prefer composite video (Only connector i have, no S-video or RGB scart. 🙁) .

I hope HAL has the memory expansion kit as well. It is definitely on my wish list to play one day perfect dark again and shadow man.

Better be Perfect Dark or Goldeneye! I have the ROMS so I don't use the 64 really. Just download a game emulator that is Mario All Stars with Mario World! Freaking awesome! Never thought in a million years I would be playing super Nintendo and N64 games on a PC. They even have Game cube emulators and PS2 emulators! The game cube emulator is called Dolphin. The PS2 emulator is called PCSX2.

Console emulation since the PlayStation and N64 has been an absolutely terrible experience. Every year or so I try the latest versions again to see if it has improved. It never does.
 
In one of those pics, you can see a reflection of the person taking the picture... and he's not wearing any clothes.

And neither is his girlfriend (wife?).

Yes that's the original G15 KB with all the 'puter's stats I need at a glance. It's a shame they don't make lcd's like this one on KB's anymore.

Sorry its actually Super Smash, Goldeneye is laying next to it though.

SCART it's a PAL version of SCART, nothing too exciting.

I love the emulator for the SNES. I use ZSNES and Project64 for my emulation needs. Have a N64 controller hooked up to a USB adapter. Super Mario brothers on the SNES at 1080p on a 50" is all I want from life😎

I'm currently working on figuring out Dolphin. My family loves Mario Kart Double Dash for Gamecube, but my four wireless Wavebird controllers are starting to show their age and they are getting pretty expensive to replace. So I'm thinking of building a basic gaming HTPC with Xbox 360 controllers remapped (not sure how well the control interface would translate), although there are some known issues with this particular game:

I think my ideal setup would be to have it auto-boot into Plex for multimedia, then use the application launcher to bounce over to Dolphin, Steam, and Hyperspin for GC/Wii, Steam games, and emulators. I'd also like to figure out how to make my X-arcade pad wireless, although I think that's fairly hopeless 😛

I currently use my old gaming pc as a HTPC. I have it boot to windows normally and just run the emulator off the desktop as I would anything else. I generally leave it sitting in XBMC though. Eventually I'll find a way to integrate it all better, but for now it works.

I just picked up my N64 controller of amazon, but like you said the gamecube ones are getting expensive. I dont know how the 360 controllers would do, but they are similar. I have a gamecube still so no need for me to emulate😎
