That's because it is still relavent IF it would actually have anything to do with changing opinions on it. Changing circumstances so drastically isn't going to make much of a change, though, as they are not the problem.

Disregarding any technical feasibilities or if this is even possible, would you support stem cell research if it could make a bus full of mini-Ditkas?

The main stem cell research arguments against have to do with the source, not the uses.
It's the taking them from aborted kids that gets folks in a jam, not any great possibilities.
