What If Your Videogame Character Was Only As Fit As You Are

I like this idea. I am in great shape, so I would pwn. And I would laugh at fatties that run slow. This might actually get fatties in teh gym. How about a game like this?!? Something GTA style?

This would not work, especially for those of us who are disabled, and play video games (especially MMOs) as a method of "leaving the wheelchair" as it were.

For what it's worth, I agree with the principle, but there is simply no way to implement it without some slipping through the cracks. Someone like me could easily be put into the 'lazy' category before I was properly diagnosed, despite it being quite apparent that something was horribly wrong with me physically causing me to be unable to do things.

jaqie, then that would make you an exception and not the rule. It would be a damn good policy for the vast majority of gamers.

The problem is with the people that would slip through the cracks. I can see lawsuits and outraged folks all over. The problem again is in the implementation.

That's the catch, and the point! I've been trying since before I was 16, but because of this problem I have been unable to do anything but survive. Now that I am able, I am doing everything I can, as I swore to myself I would do if I was ever "fixed".

See, regular people voluntarily go from completely normal and able to "disabled" fat and disgusting. This is why I am mad at them and want to pwn them in the game. I want to pwn them for taking up 2 seats on the bus. I want to pwn them for making me look at their filth. I want to pwn them for raising cost of medi care. And most importantly, I want to pwn them for throwing away good health that God/Nature has given them.
