imagine How much easier it would be to make policy if there's a $ amount on human life.

healthcare: if its more expensive to treat than what their remaining worth is, let them die.

Because voters would rebel against the idea and dictatorships (like North Korea) don't care.

Is very common - so much so that the US does so by agency because it can't agree on an exact amount. They bury it in their calculations so its a bit difficult to find on the internet but the NYT did an article about it a couple of years ago:

Of course its going to vary by country but good luck getting people to not criticize decisions based on a monetary value.
