wrong. it costs money to do all those things. i'm broke and i aint wastin no money on a gym, language software, or tickets to paris. plus, i have NO TIME to do any of that since I am WORKING to make $$. Something wrong with you tonight?

Gym is paid for by health insurance (most of the time), or costs $10-$15 a month. You can't afford that?

Language software? Get a book and learn online. You can afford your cable internet and probably cable TV right?

Tickets to Paris do cost money, so travel somewhere cheaper for now. Lots of places to go in US and neighboring countries.

Where do you live? South Dakota?

The YMCA where I live is $60/month, a nice gym is $90/month.

Go back to academia/being a student to learn what I want to learn and travel a lot

This. If I were independently wealthy, I'd become a professional student with no declared major...just go to school for the fun of learning new things...and to piss off the kids in the classes by sitting front row center and expounding on my many years of experience in things that have nothing to do with the subject at hand. :p

But NOT full time. Maybe one semester/quarter per year. The rest of the time would be spent traveling.

LMAO. I lived in Manhattan and paid $30 per month... IN MANHATTAN.

I live in Boston and there are gyms here that are $120 + per month and there are Gyms that are $10 per month.

Are you going to the gym to take a comfortable nap or to work out?

I'm 38, I've NEVER seen health insurance that even subsidizes gym memberships, and they average $45/mo for a single, going up far higher if it's a full club.

I like the sail arround the world idea, probably include some time back in school and volunteer with doctors without borders.

I'd travel the world in search of a kung fu grand master that would make me his apprentice.
