And not just the websites, all internet. Say North Korea finds a way to make it so electronic communication of any kind is gone.

How long before the world is in chaos?

Old thread revived by someone who sounds like they're off their meds.

This is quite possible for some ATOTers. (If their neighbor finds out they are leaching Wifi and cuts them off)

All... ELECTRONIC... communication.

HAHAHAHAHAHA nice. So basically a giant world-wide EMP blast. You realize that means most print media also dies, since it's done electronically (until people get the manual type-set presses back in operating form). Financial industries are crippled. Logistics are crippled. Diplomatic relations are crippled. Military is crippled (see logistics).

Day to day shit, people will survive locally for a while... until food and water stop being delivered.

I'd put in a word for you, with Al Gore, but I can't make any promises he will let you back on.

Young people would starve and die in quick order. They wouldn't know how to mail a letter, pay their bills, use directory assistance to call customer service, pay cash for groceries/gas or know how much money is in their checking account.

They also don't have a paper phone book so they don't know how to locate any services.

In all honesty the biggest impact would be all the VPNs companies have with each other to exchange EDI information, orders, payments, etc. That would be the most devistating. On the positive side employment would skyrocket as companies hired people to help out with processing.

The World of Tomorrow (If The Internet Disappeared Today) 😀

Well yes and no, there will still be certain electronic devices that will survive an emp, as well as the majority of our more important government buildings. From what I remember from an emp, all you need is a mesh wire around the object and a grounding rod. Government would stay intact, most electronic devices are fine if they are off at the time of the blast. How many of us have a computer stuffed in a box/closet somewhere in the house?

I'd end up using the phone a lot more, which sucks, but otherwise I'd survive just fine. I've lived without it before, I could do it again.

I would be doing pretty much the same thing now.
Reading and writing and playing video games and working out.

Right now the internet just gets me things that I like but dont need. Porn and nefs and humorous articles and shopping which I dont really need to do. Just about everything I want I could buy locally if I really had to.

I would start a thread on AT...uhhm
Login into Facebook and....uhm
Check my e-mail and.....uhhhm

scratches head while eyes glaze over

Not long as the elite could fuck with ppl AT WILL w/o worry of them finding information out!!

I truly believe if NOT FOR THE INTERNET,we would be much worse off now than we are.... PEOPLE ARE WAKING UP AND TURNING AGAINST THEM!!!!!!!!

Information is being exchanged that THEY DO NOT WANT KNOWN and thus slowing down thier plan!!! -- THEY REALLY WOULD LIKE IT IF THE NET WAS GONE!!
