What if Donald Trump fires Dr. Anthony Fauci

Head of the NIH Dr. Anthony Fauci has a very big and important job trying to lead the country through COVID-19 pandemic. He also has the added task of real time correcting Trump in public. Fauci is trying to inform citizens based on science. Trump is spreading lies, falsehoods, speculating with no basis in fact putting the lives of Americans in additional jeopardy. At some point Trump will get angry about Fauci contradicting him openly and may fire him. We've seen this many times already.

What do you think happens next? Constitutionally Democrats are not in a position to stop him. How would Republicans respond? Cave as usual? Would they oppose? What could they do to stop him?

Not wild fancy to speculate this could happen. We would be in deep doo-doo
 
It's sad watching all those who frothed at the mouth about Obama calling him a wanna be dictator etc... just sitting back and lapping up all this shit from the orange menace. Right now the response from this admin is worse than that of China who also sought to silence anyone who tried to speak directly to the public about the virus. They at least changed gears and took aggressive steps to stem the spread.

Meanwhile this asshole and his cronies are trying to blame Obama by lying about everything. I mean come on the fucking idiot said people with COVID-19 are going to work like it's no big deal for christ sake.

Hammer the fuck out of him with ads pointing out his poor management of the situation. Let the bloomberg machine spend $500M on that ad campaign.

Yeah, the messaging on that is terrible. Many, many, people are going to take that as the President saying that you should continue to go to work as long as your symptoms are not that bad. Even I believe that is what he was trying to say. He is more concerned with the economy than people's lives.
 
Meh, why worry, we have Pence on top of things and if he falters, well then Trump will likely send in Jared to make it worse

I would fast track another article of impeachment relating what a real and present threat that Donald J Trump represents to every American citizen.

It isn't even a controversial fact, that. If he is obviously raising the threat level for each American citizen because he only thinks in terms of political advantage (his entire presidency), then...ah what the hell. The GOP has singled that they don't care about this, because they have already made that exact case in defending him against the first impeachment.

It would be a highly-effective LBJ v Goldwater moment, the ad showing the little girl blown up with a nuclear warhead if Goldwater would be elected.

Here we have what Trump is already doing. Show him contradict every single physician and scientist that knows exactly what they are talking about. Show the results. Show China. Make it Donald's pandemic. Show him lying in public, constantly, about all of it. again and again and again. Show the lies. Then show the direct results of those lies.
