?

Just curious.

If a theist dies and there is really no god then it is not a major problem. If there is no god, then there should be no soul and if there is no soul, then we are all fertilizer anyway. :D

So what would you do if you are a dead atheist and just found out that god really exists????

What if you just STFU and leave us in peace???

BTW, the topic is just for fun, I'am not trolling here. I really do not know if god exists or not and there is no harm in asking others.

Ask him for a beer?

I would think god/goddess would look at that person's life and see how they lived. I would hope some supreme being wouldn't be such a narcissist as to require regular worship of him/herself.

No, this is not a thread on Intelligent Design.

This is just a light hearted topic on what people would do if something they considered just a fantasy/nightmare suddenly turned true.

In that case....

I'd tell god that his political campaign is in the trash. Visibility and accountability would go a long way in herding the non-sheeple into his coral.

If a theist dying and finding there is no God is not a problem, then why should it be different for the Atheist to find there is one?

IMO, the Atheist would be in much better shape. Unlike the theists, he/she wasn't wasting his time worshipping, and trying to be saved. For one thing, he's not been worried about death--he knew it was coming, and had no expectations of what was to occur after it, if anything.

My point is similar to yours in situation, but it focuses on the psychological outcome.

An atheist has no expectations of an afterlife, so what would he do if he unexpectedly finds out there is one.

For me, my religious beliefs are not meant to make me happy after I die, for what I believe makes me happy now.

I think that they would go with the flow. They would probably introduce themselves, try to be friendly and respectful.

I think your question assumes that god would frown upon Atheism. Most Atheists would probably not make this assumption.

Maybe your question would be better stated as:

What if an atheist died and found god exists and that he is really a Puritan????

In that case, yes, I think they would request some vasoline.

That depends on exactly what is there, and how it is presented. It is ambiguous: how much of our feelings, thoughts, morals, etc. are grounded in our bodies? That which is is then either superceded or gone. Either way, they become useless, and the said dead person's perception of whatever it is out there is likely foreign to what we may experience within our bodies.

I'd ask God a whole lot of questions...

I guess I'd be wrong too, but hey it's not like I am perfect anyhow...

Politics and News... Where does this fit in? Got a link? And you should be more "Nice" to your elder members or else you can go on a vacation.........

*IF* god did exist why doesent he come down here and send a bolt of fire into boosh for being so stupid? Why doesn't he grow a pair and appear before us all instead of reading it out of a made up book?

Why should we have to listen to an IDIOT preacher? Why can't he/she/it come down here and prove to all of us he/she/it really does exist? WTF is wrong with this picture? If he/she/it wanted you all to believe in he/she/it then wouldn't you think he/she/it would show some kind of sign?

And yes I've been lucky just like everyone else. I don't feel my angles have saved me... or he/she/it has better plans for me.

Everybody knows there is a God because in God we have our being. We have just forgotten because we are not real.

W.C. Fields was a devout Athiest. While on his death bed, he was caught by a close friend reading the Bible. The friend supposedly asked, if you're an Athiest, then why are you reading the Bible??? His reply: Looking for loop holes. ;)
