what i miss about video reviews

lately at anandtech i've noticed a shift back to the old "only testing first person shooters for performance" idea. what ever happened to testing NFSU2 and other games. it really helps to get a sense of how well specific hardware performs under more varying types of gaming.

Probably because the 'newer' FPS engines are the ones that are really pushing the limits of GPUs.
Don't get me wrong - I totally agree with you, but not many other games offer scalable 'benchmarks' with their software.
