What I did to get a Nintendo Wii Pen at Gamestop!

So I went in to gamestop to pick up a Donkey Konga deal and put money down for Wii Play. I sign my reciept and I notice that the pen says Nintendo and Wii Play!

I told them that I want it and asked if I could have it, but they told me it is their only pen (and the place is packed with people returning things, etc - but only one pen). So I said I'd come back with a box of pens for them and they'll have to give it to me.

So I ran over to WalMart around the corner, braved the crowds, bought a pack of pens, and came back saying "I'm here for my pen!"

They thought it was pretty funny and the young girl there couldn't stop telling me how much she loved me - all the way to the door 😉. I told her I'd be back for my 11 other pens soon!

Sorry, no pics of pen just yet, ha! 🙂

The sad thing is you probably left without getting her number written down with that pen....

You could have handed it to her and said "I'd like for you to be the first one to use my new pen.". And when she asked "What for?", or "What should I write.", you reply "Your phone number 😉"

If you do that too often, she'll remember you - as the dork who brings her pens. Maybe do it once as a conversation starter, but after that you can't rely on pens as a crutch. 😉
 
Man, I really want to reserve Wii Play, but I'll be in Hawaii when it comes out. Is there any way to reserve it at the GameStop on Maui while I'm in NJ?

What I really want is the Wii-mote keychain that you get now for signing up for Nintendo Power!
